What's Your Excuse, Now?

We often look for excuses when things don’t go our way, shifting the blame onto others instead of taking responsibility for our own choices. But excuses only grow stronger the more we feed them. This same pattern shows up when it comes to doing what’s right—we stay silent, waiting for someone else to step forward, rather than holding ourselves accountable. “What’s your excuse now?” is a challenge to stop hiding behind hesitation and a sense of true comfort in our own skin.

Maurice White, born on December 19, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee, died in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the age of 74. He was one of the founders of Earth, Wind & Fire. The icons of funk, rock, soul and R&B. Everyone had their special song(s). I liked them all, but my two favorites are Devotion & Reasons.

Margaret Mack, 78, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Mr. Roy L. Mack. Services entrusted to Rich-Colonial Funeral Home. What a beautiful woman! God bless her family and loved ones!
